I am relatively thick. Decent size butt hips thighs very shapely. I want to make maintain my waistline and possibly make it smaller but when i lose weight I tend to lose it all over. How can I lose the weight on top and keep the weight below and possibly add more below with out my top half getting big as well?
try the lil Jack workout http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezris

maybe try doing sit ups?! cardio will make you lose weight everywhere so stay away from that if you want to keep your curves!! Ive got a slender tone which i use every night that took 2 inches off my waist well that and exercise but its worth a try

Spot weight loss is not possible, you will lose weight all over when you diet. The key to shaping up is to exercise, try sit ups to tighten your abs and consider buying and using a heavyweight hula hoop, it works wonders for inch loss around the belly!

well i think doing sit-ups definitely helps. try to start a number as you’re able to do per day, then gradually increase it more and more till you feel it’s enough..i’m recently doing 2 hundred sit-ups each day besides monday, i dont know what your exact situation of working out so you gotta figure it out by yourself. and also jogging for a little time every day also helps alot.

two weeks ago, my ancle just told me how to lose fat in stomach. its really easy and simple. what you need to do is drink 2 to 3 cups of water before you eat breakfast, lunch, dinner or any heavy food. When you do that, you eat less because you are already ful. it will be more water less food. i know its hard to get used it, but it helps you lose weight faster.

normally fat loss is "last on, first off" and vice versa. kind of like filling a swimming pool full of water. the water that first entered the pool will be the last to drain
only you can answer that question.
my recommendation to you is 3fold:
proper diet to keep your muscle mass (your butt is a big muscle)
cardio to burn excess fat off
lifting weights (include squats & lunges to maintain the booty)
if you HAVE lost your butt while dieting before, it could have been saved by doing the above as well
good luck

Everyone loses weight all over. You cannot target one area. To lose weight you need to eat a sensible diet and do lots of aerobic exercise. Then the best thing I can recommend is to start a weight training program and develop muscle all over, which will improve appearance overall.

What has worked for me is to do cardio exercises while incorporating strength moves for your lower half, eg. squats and leg lifts. This will help you to lose weight but still maintain shape.
