I have been running a ton (about 30-40 miles per week) for the last 3 months and my diet is healthy. I have lost some weight but am finding it nearly impossible to lose the gooey fat in my manboobs and stomach. What the heck do I need to do? I do situps and left weights (bench press) all the time. HELP! I look like the poster boy for bitchtits.
You sure the diet is right? Mostly vegetables and fruits, with ample amounts of meat, dairy, and grain.
Incremental exercise is usually the answer when you settle in a rut that you can’t seem to get out of. It’s most clearly exhibited in cardio (your running). When you first do cardio, your body burns a certain amount of energy – lets say 1,000 calories in 30 minutes. But as time goes by and you keep doing cardio constantly, your body adapts, becomes stronger and more efficient,…and eventually burns only 600 calories for the same 30 minute workout. That’s why you have to do increments. Alternate between fast, normal, and sprinting speeds. It keeps your body guessing, up and running, and therefore will always burn as many calories as it did a year ago.
